Meli Walker co-founded the AudioVision Performance trio NNeng with Brian Moran and Benton Bainbridge. The group improvises within structures of mood, tempo, color and props to create an intense and intuitive union of sound and moving image. Moran creates subtly shifting soundscapes with classic analog synths, mini samplers, drum machines, noise toys and short wave radio while Bainbridge and Meli Walker shoot, process, layer and synthesize the visual counterpoint via video. The result is an eye-popping and ear-tickling anti-narrative cinema in real-time.
