Meli Walker co-founded the Performed Audio/Video [PAV] group The Poool with Angie Eng and Benton Bainbridge. This “Real-Time Cinema” group created projected and digitally manipulated video images with found or sculpted props live as a multimedia performance. There were few pre-recorded video roll-in tapes, most of the imagery was performed and processed in real-time. Both the music and the video evolved during the development of the work to closely mimic the images or to inspire the camera movements.
